Review #3: LittleBigPlanet 2

Hell to the fucking yeah!

Clue explanations anyone?
Stephen Fry:- Narrator
Out on Friday 21st January:- Explanatory
Mentioned highly on my Twitter:- Explanatory

First off, let's get the story outta the way before I explain how glorious this game is. Basically the level begins with a 'level' where you see all the developers etc. At the end however, you are attacked by the Negativatron who is the primary antagonist of the game. You visit 6 worlds, the final one being The Cosmos. I won't spoil the story but I will say the characters are Larry Da Vinci, Victoria, Clive, Avalon, Eve and Dr. Higginbotham. They are all voice acted in the main cutscene levels and they are so cheesy its brilliant.
The story mode is a very fun part of the game and the new features such as the grappling hook are brilliant. All of the worlds have a few extra levels which can be versus, survival challenges of prize levels. Tower of Whoop is one of these.
Now, it's LittleBigPlanet. Yes, that means creating! The creating tools in this game are so amazing you will spend hours fiddling with the tools and making levels. The controllinator is the most creative thing since the Swiss Army Knife. You can map your controller to anything. For example, you could add an advanced mover into its logic and set the up and down controls for it. Simple enough. Or you could go a step further and make the player hold X to start the engine or whatever.
Another new feature is the option to build versus levels. I tried my hand at one (this very one infact) and it came out quite well. Started up with a little cutscene with the rules, a nice big camera to view to whole level, 10 points for shooting the opponent. It worked very well and was very simple. The next thing I completed was a survival challenge called The Collector's Return. You are fired at with little firey minotaur sackbots and you have to dodge them. 1 point a second. Used a score giver logic, set it to each second and it worked a treat.
Of course, I bought the Collector's Edition so I got the lovely steelbook case. I also got 7 great costumes: Toy Story Alien, Clu from Tron, The Great Gonzo, Mandrill, Cobra, Vulture and Crocodile. The costumes in this game are as wacky as ever. You will want to find all of the pieces.
There are some cool little easter eggs in the game like in-game versions of Breakout and Pong. There is also a claw game, which is as impossible as it's real life counterpart.

Phenomenal Game and I recommend any PS3 user to have this in their collection. I gotta give it perfect score, 10/10!
