So for the first  DLC of 2012 how about a nice big 5 pack of My Chemical Romance songs. This would be aimed towards drummers and vocalists, but I think guitarists would be satisfied too. Headfirst for Halos would be great for guitarists and drummers. I Don't Love You isn't very hard on anything but it is very good musically. We Don't Need Another Song About California is hardly known (iTunes bonus of Danger Days) but has a good solo and would be good to play. SING is the easiest on guitar but like I Don't Love You it is very good musically. The Ghost of You may have the unlikely difficulty of Helena and is also very good musically. BONUS!

Next up we have a nice 3 pack of Buzzcocks. These will all be good for drummers but I suppose it would be good for fans of the band too. Al songs have quite simple guitar, bass and vocals but the drums sound quite difficult on all of them. Any people who enjoyed Ever Fallen in love will enjoy these songs to play as they are similar difficulty on everything and are just as good too.

The only debut this month is from Alt Metal band SOiL. All these songs sound quite easy on guitar, except for one part in Like It Is which sounds very hard. On all of them drums sound like a big challenge, especially Breaking Me Down. Most of the songs basslines are similar to guitar so bass isn't too hard. Vocals sound quick and could be hard if they're NOT ALL TALKIES!

Ooh, Dokken. I had to have this pack after the Mr Scary/Dream Warriors dilemma. Pretty much all the songs have epic, and hard, solos that would please the guitarists very much. Vocalists don't get off as easy as Mr Scary! Most of them have challenging vocals that would be very fun to sing.Drums don't have too many tricky bits, and neither does bass.

And to round off the month it is Duran Duran. Not new to the series, but new to DLC! All these songs (priority: Girls on Film) have awaited to be on this game too long and while they wouldn't be that realistic for guitar, drummers would be very happy with the songs. All of them, while not too hard, would be fun on vocals and bass would probably please the bassists.

Soo, yeah, that is todays blog and the first Battle for the Earth DLC. Who wants clues for February?
7th

14th

21st
Vocalist came out as gay in 1998 and was the subject of a song by Atom And His Package.

Original vocalist (now deceased) owned a boxer called Dobbs. This dog was featured on the bands only album with that vocalist.

  1. I like the sound of the DLC on the 14th of Feb. Carnival Of Rust would be pretty good although I still think that one of the songs they recorded for Alan Wake would kick ass in GH.
